If you have a modem that is 33.6 or less and it doesn't want to make a connection, try this: add
four commas after the phone number. eg: 555 0188,,,, To disable call waiting, ad *70 , in front
of the local access number, eg: *70, 555 0188
To disable K56 Flex Modulation, use

To enable X2, use ATZ^M2%D2W2 or
AT&F1W1S11=50S10=150S0=0
To disable X2, use or AT&F1S32=34 or
AT&FE0S32=34 or AT&F&D0&K3S32=34X4
To disable V.90, use AT&F1S32=66 or
AT&FE0S32=66 or AT&F&D0&K3S32=66X4
Adding L0 (L"zero") lowers modem speaker volumn.
L1 is low volumn, L2 Louder, L3 is Loudest. Adding
M0 (M"zero") shuts modem speaker off.
